We are currently seeking a Products Sales Representative to join our Boart Longyear team.


Position Overview:


As the Products Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating leads and meeting monthly and annual sales goals. Duties include M&E, E&I and Percussive products sales presentations and demonstrations as well as negotiating supply contracts with new and existing mining related customers.


To be successful in this role, the Products Sales rep must have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Previous sales experience in the mining, quarrying, and drill & blast industry is a requirement. This role is open to a national candidate pool and can be based anywhere within the United States.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in Mining, Mechanical, Electrical or related field

  • 4 years of outside sales, account management experience in the Drilling Industry

  • Strong working knowledge of the Mineral Exploration, Construction Drilling and/or Percussive Mining industry.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple responsibilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated and ability to excel with minimum supervision

  • Ability to work well with customers and co workers in a team environment .

  • Ability to create, present, and communicate effective sales proposals

  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record

  • Must be available to travel at least 50% of the time


Essential Job Functions/Duties:



  • Generating sales leads and closing sales opportunities

  • Meeting and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets

  • Preparing weekly, monthly, sales activity reports, along with territory goal and objective planning.

  • Develop solid relationships with contractors, distributors, and mine/quarry personnel.

  • Seek out and develop opportunities to run product testing and convert opportunities to sales revenue

  • Successfully maintain existing customer base while aggressively growing business with new customers

  • Maintaining records regarding sales activity, testing programs, product issues and solutions

  • Complete the full sales cycle from developing the customer base and negotiating contracts to deliveries, resolving issues and dealing with Accounts Receivables
