Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. is seeking a Workforce Optimization Scheduler to optimize labor scheduling and drive efficiency across Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR at our Bridgewater, VA facility.

You’ll manage scheduling data, KPIs, and staffing to meet production needs while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes data-driven planning, advanced scheduling tools, and collaboration with multiple teams to support smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-3+ years in manufacturing operations or scheduling.
• Proficiency with UKG Scheduler or equivalent WFM system.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical capability for operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of USDA, FDA, HACCP, OSHA, and labor regulation.
• Understanding of poultry or food operations and multistage processing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term labor schedules.
• Optimize capacity by aligning staffing with real-time production requirements and equipment availability.
• Maintain cross-functional alignment with Production, Supply, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR.
• Manage UKG Advanced Scheduler components and integrate data with ERP/MRP to generate accurate workforce assignments.
• Develop and analyze labor KPIs, workforce trends, and seasonal needs.
• Ensure scheduling compliance with regulatory requirements and fair overtime practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency.
