Job summary

Kennametal in Orwell, OH is hiring Production Workers. Join a clean, climate-controlled plant and operate PVD coating furnaces to coat carbide and Cermet inserts, monitor coating cycles, and perform routine maintenance. The role supports SAP MII usage and accuracy in data entry.

Openings on all 3 shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, with a $20 base hourly rate plus shift differentials. High school diploma or GED required; a 2-year technical degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Ability to understand oral and written communications and perform basic math.
• Comfort with using a computer and enterprise software.

Responsibilities

• Operate PVD coating furnaces to coat carbide and Cermet inserts, ensuring setup and cleanliness.
• Enter product weights and coating cycle information into the computer system and monitor the process.
• Perform maintenance tasks and cleaning to ensure gas supply and proper batch cleaning intervals.

$20 with shift differentials
Openings on all 3 shifts 7am-3pm, 3p-11pm, and 11pm-7am

Also thereare 12 hours- either 6:40am-6:40pm, OR 6:40PM- 6:40AM
on a 2-2-3 schedule

What’s a typical day as a Production Worker? You’ll be:

• Operating PVD coating furnaces to coat carbide and Cermet inserts, ensuring product setup and cleanliness.
• Entering product weights and desired coating cycle information into the computer system and monitoring the coating process.
• Performing necessary maintenance tasks, including cleaning fixtures and base plates, ensuring adequate gas supply, and conducting batch cleanings at proper intervals.
