Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Dover, New Jersey is seeking a Wax Machine Operator for the third shift to support the Dover Casting group. The role involves operating wax injection machines, inspecting patterns, and ensuring quality control during the manufacturing process.

The position offers a midnight shift from 10:00p to 6:00a (Sunday night through Thursday night) with training on day shift M-F for several months. Starting hourly rate is $24.04 with increases after 12 months to $26.69.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
  • Access to export-controlled items; employment offers conditioned on ability to obtain access.
  • No relocation benefit; candidates residing within 50 miles of Dover, NJ will be considered.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The wax machine operator is responsible for injecting the wax patterns with the wax departments.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals.
  • Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
  • Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Attend all EHS training.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Repeatedly injects wax or plastic patterns by operating one or two automatic fixed cycle, power injection machines.

INTERPERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Wax Machine Operator interactions are internal and include engineering, quality and other members in the wax departments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Standing up to 8 hours.
