Lignetics is hiring a Production Worker / Packaging Operator to operate bagging and baler machinery in a full-time role. Shift is 6p–6a, with training first two weeks at 6a; pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities include stacking bags, moving products, maintaining safety, and assisting other production areas. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift and production line experience preferred.
• Good eye–hand–foot coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to pass forklift training and read scales.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate bagging and baler machinery and assist with other production duties as needed.
• Move, wrap, and palletize finished products while maintaining safety guidelines.
• Support shift leads in starting/stopping pellet mills and addressing moisture issues.
• Maintain clean workstation and communicate problems to supervisors.
• Complete production reports and ensure correct pallet tagging and QC samples.

Production Worker / Packaging Operator

Salary: $19/hour

Shift: W-Sa/Th-Sa 6p - 6a. - Will train 2 weeks at 6a to 4:3p

Job Type: Full time

Production Worker / Packaging Operator Responsibilities

• The packaging operator is required to perform two functions: the bagging operation and the baler operation. The packaging operator must maintain the ability to perform both bagging and baler functions as determined by the Shift Leads
• Operate machinery in a productive manner using the established safety guidelines and procedures.
• Responsible for assisting other production areas, as needed.
• Move and wrap completed products.
• Will be lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a minimum of 7 hours per day
• Assist the Shift Leads to start and stop the pellet mills.
• Communicate any moisture or material problems to Shift Lead.
• Maintain a clean workstation.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Bagging Operation

• Responsible for operating a variety of machinery, primarily bagging and baler machines, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jack, and bag sealer.
• Stacking bags on pallets, putting covers on pallets and placing finished goods in the correct warehouse location.
• Position requires accurate completion of the Bagger production report, filling pellet sample cups every ton for quality control information, and tagging pallet with Quality Control tag with initials, date, ton number, and the shift the pallet was completed.

Production Worker / Packaging Operator Qualifications/Education

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior forklift and production line experience preferred.
• Will require good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
• Will need to pass the company forklift training.
• Required to read and interpret scales.
• Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust the weight and timing of baler and various other simple maintenance problems.
• Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.
