Job summary

ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages is seeking a Production Worker (Labeler Operator) to support the bottling process in Cleveland, OH. The role runs Monday through Thursday, starting at 4:00 pm and finishing around 2:30 am, with responsibilities including batching syrups, ensuring correct ingredient handling, and maintaining clean, safe workspaces.

The position requires basic math, physical endurance, teamwork, and adherence to GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic for quantities.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend; lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75+ lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Support the production of bottled beverages by batching syrups per formula specifications and proper ingredient handling and storage.
  • Report any out of specification product or equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
  • Apply sanitation procedures on all production equipment and follow GMP and safety policies.
  • Participate in Hazard Mitigation and complete assigned Health & Safety trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, starting at 4:00 pm - 2:30 am.

Summary

Support the production of bottled beverages in a timely and efficient manner by batching finished syrups as per formula specifications, proper ingredient handling and storage, documentation of procedures performed as directed, and cleaning and organizing workspaces.

Responsibilities
  • Support the production of bottled beverages in a timely and efficient manner by batching finished syrups as per formula specifications, proper ingredient handling and storage, documentation of procedures performed as directed, and cleaning and organizing work spaces.
  • Report ALL product out of specification and equipment malfunction issues to management immediately!
  • Employ proper sanitation procedures on all production equipment. (includes but not limited to: tanks, pumps, fillers, conveyors, production floor, etc.
  • Follow established company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality procedures and policies.
  • Actively participate in Hazard Mitigation.
  • Complete assigned Health & Safety trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Adherence to GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) as outlined in Title 21 CFR, section 110.10 Personnel. Follow all recommended company Food Safety Principles and Personnel Policies, including, but not limited to:
    • Wearing of hair nets, clean hands (gloves as required), clean uniforms
    • Fittings, valves, and gaskets (OFF THE FLOOR)
    • Unused piping openings capped (Includes hoses, flow panel outlets, and portable pumps)
    • Smoking in authorized areas only
    • Cell phone use as per company policy
Batching
  • Follow all batching procedures and sequences as defined by requirements and ABARTA-Cleveland procedures
  • Documentation and testing of batches per Batch Sheet reports
  • Report any non-compliant product (raw material or finished goods) to supervisor immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift. Occasionally required to climb or balance. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Overtime and working on holidays may be required.
  • Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
