Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. in Laurinburg, NC is seeking a Production Worker – Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team on the production line building manufactured housing.

You will perform quality welding (Mig/Arc) and fabrication tasks, read blueprints, and work with hand, air, and electrical tools in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Mig/Arc welding experience required.
• Fabrication/design skills or experience required.
• Manufacturing/modular housing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.
• Keeps area neat and clean.
• Reads and uses a tape measure.
• Reads blueprints and orders.
• Communicate well with coworkers.
• Uses hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools.
• May be required to travel if needed to work on frames that are hauling our homes.

Summary:

Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work in a fast-moving and consistent manner.
