The Production Worker will perform all duties necessary to produce a complete line of wire rope assemblies according to company methods, standards, and work instructions while using the safest and most efficient means possible.
Responsibilities
- Review, interpret and understand codes, instructions and specifications of Fab Tickets along with special drawings or blueprints
- Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and select appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire rope assemblies
- Setup, operate, adjust and maintain all wire rope production machines and equipment
- Select, write and attach proper tags and labels to products; locate and interpret appropriate capacity tables
- Count, record and report inventory as required
- Perform all duties to established quality standards and report defective or substandard material supplies or products
- Maintain work area, equipment and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all Safety Guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Driver Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of products to different addresses and through different routes
- Follow route and time schedule
- Perform routine operational checks on the truck prior to delivery (tire pressure, oil levels, fuel, etc.)
- Pack and load trucks according to company specifications
- Unload goods as per customer specifications
- Follow maintenance schedule on trucks as outlined by Supervisor
- Notify Supervisor when there is a problem with the trucks and make sure it is corrected
- Inform Supervisor of all information that the customer is conveying to them while making the delivery
- Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor when not making deliveries
- Maintain a clean truck and work area
- Record and maintain daily delivery pickup log
- Arrive to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled
- Meet agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Maintain possession and security of all credentials, as applicable
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school or military experience a plus
Experience & Skills
- Experience in rigging and lifting preferred
- Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Strong analytical, conceptual and planning skills are required
- Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
