Job Overview

The digital print and finishing technician is responsible for printing and finishing an array of product identification products including nameplates, labels, overlays, and signage to customer specifications. Work should aim to meet safety, quality, and on-time delivery metrics at all times.

Responsibilities

• Strong attention to detail;


• Set up and operate printing and finishing equipment including:


• Digital UV flatbed printers;


• Thermal printers;


• Hot stamping roll label press;


• Digital knife cutters;


• CO2 laser cutter;


• Laminating machines;


• Steel-rule die cutting and embossing presses;


• Inspect printed and finished parts;


• Perform handwork and assembly of products as required;


• Perform minor maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of equipment in accordance with machine manufacturers’ recommendations;


• Maintain inventory of substrates and material for the digital printing and finishing operation in good order following established policies and guidelines;


• Escalate issues pertaining to safety, quality, or on-time delivery to production coordinator;


• Maintain a clean work environment throughout each day;


• Able and willing to learn new processes to expand competency and increase organizational flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);


• Previous experience, training, or knowledge with digital printing and finish equipment or die cutting a plus;


• Strong mechanical aptitude a plus;


• Energetic, team player possessing strong attention to detail;


• Must be willing and able to follow directions;


• Safety conscious behavior;


• Excellent attendance record;


• Able to perform work tasks both independently and in a team-based environment.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time;


• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds;


• Position requires good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, color vision, and ability to adjust between close and distance vision.
