Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Crystal Verification Technician to join our Howmet Casting facility in Dover, NJ. You will perform visual, real-time image inspection and NDT on single crystal castings, ensuring conformance to customer specs.

The role includes shift from Friday 6 PM to Sunday 6 AM with first shift training, on-site work, and a shift premium off-hours. Eligible candidates must pass DS/SC Level II certification and have a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Must have the ability to pass visual inspection and quality checks.
• DS/SC Level II certification required or obtainable during training? (based on job listing).

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, real-time image inspection and NDT on single crystal castings.
• Review non-conformances and disposition under CI program.
• Assist in rework tasks to complete inspection and meet customer schedules.

Howmet Aerospace is currently looking for a Crystal Verification Technician to join ourHowmet Castinglocated in Dover, New Jersey.

The work hours for this Weekend Nights shift are Friday Night - Sunday night 6PM-6AM.

Training on 1st Shift for several months.

This position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift.

Anticipated Pay Range: $ 23-25.50 per hour. Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs visual, real time image computer and NDT inspection on single crystal castings. The Crystal Verification Tech has nonconforming product disposition authority to review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals.
• Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report on all job-related illnesses and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
• Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
• Attend all EHS training.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• To visually inspect the grain integrity of SC and DS castings to specific customer requirements and with the aid of a real time image computer program, analyze the internal properties.
• To perform any rework operations, e.g. belting, RX, spot etch, to complete the inspection process in an expeditious manner to meet customer schedules.
• Performs other duties as might be assigned by supervision.
• Must pass visual exam.
• Must pass DS/SC level II exam for certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED

• Frequent standing and walking, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications
