Job summary

Rinker Materials in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Production Worker to join our Indianapolis plant. You will contribute to manufacturing of reinforced concrete products, operating cranes and forklifts, and handling materials in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading work orders, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and potential forklift usage. CDL is required. We offer competitive pay and growth opportunities within a large manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• CDL is required.
• Experience operating cranes and forklifts preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently; with forklift or crane, up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and pouring concrete.
• Operate cranes and hoists.
• Transfer loads to construction sites and discharge safely.
• Bind loads to cranes.
• Inspect equipment and machinery.
• Keep and update maintenance and activity log.
• Operating machinery and equipment such as concrete mixers and conveyors.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Assisting with the transportation and placement of concrete forms and molds.
• Loading and unloading materials and supplies.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear protective gear.
• Adhere to quality control standards.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Mixing and pouring concrete.
• Operate cranes and hoists
• Transfer loads to construction sites and discharge Safely
• Bind loads to cranes
• Inspect equipment and machinery
• Keep and update maintenance and activity log
• Operating machinery and equipment, such as concrete mixers and conveyors.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Assisting with the transportation and placement of concrete forms and molds.
• Loading and unloading materials and supplies.
• Sets up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products.
• Handling and moving heavy construction materials.
• Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear.
• Adhering to quality control standards to ensure the production of high-quality concrete products.
• Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management at any given time and in any given area

About You

We Require:

• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Precious experience as a crane operator or a similar role
• Working experience handling different types of cranes
• Commercial driver's license is a must
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Preferred – Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred – Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used. Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to step up 20 inches.
