Job summary

Rinker Materials is hiring a Production Worker for our Indianapolis, IN plant. You will contribute to manufacturing reinforced concrete products for stormwater and sanitary infrastructure, operating cranes, mixers, conveyors, and related equipment.

You’ll work outdoors in a manufacturing setting, follow safety protocols, and support quality control while assisting with material transport and log maintenance. This role offers growth opportunities and competitive pay.

• Reads and understands work orders and complex instructions.

• Experience as crane operator or similar role.

We are looking for a PRODUCTION WORKER to join our INDIANAPOLIS, IN plant. As a general laborer with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

• Mixing and pouring concrete.
• Transfer loads to construction sites and discharge safely
• Operate cranes and hoists
• Inspect equipment and machinery
• Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals
• Operating machinery and equipment, such as concrete mixers and conveyors.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Assisting with the transportation and placement of concrete forms and molds.
• Loading and unloading materials and supplies.
• Keep and update maintenance and activity log
• Sets up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products.
• Handling and moving heavy construction materials.
• Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear.
• Adhering to quality control standards to ensure the production of high-quality concrete products.
• Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management at any given time and in any given area

About You

We Require:

• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Working experience handling different types of cranes
• Previous experience as a crane operator or a similar role
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Preferred - Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred - Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used. Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to step up 20 inches.
