Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Seward, Nebraska is hiring for a 2nd shift manufacturing associate to support corrugated box production. You will safely operate equipment, perform quality checks, set up materials, and keep a clean, organized workspace.

The role emphasizes safe work practices in a fast-paced environment and learning manufacturing processes. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read a tape measure, basic math and computer skills, and willingness to work

Responsibilities

• Stand for up to 12 hours per day; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Overtime, weekends, and different shifts may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Duties Include

Safely performing a wide range of tasks supporting the manufacturing of corrugated boxes, conducting quality checks, material set-up, machine set-up and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery.

Available Shift(s) 2nd Shift 1- 9:30 PM

Starting Pay: $ $22.32

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Operating manufacturing equipment/powered equipment safely and follow specific directions
• Maintaining a clean work environment
• Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, squat, life, reach, kneel, and stand for up to 12 hrs. per day.
• Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Required to work daily overtime, weekend work and various shifts depending on workload.
• Must be willing to work any available shift.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Other duties as assigned

Education
