- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Position Summary:
The General Operator position is influenced by seasonal demands, meaning your specific tasks will shift throughout the year. During the spring and summer months, you will join teams focused on inspecting and maintaining seed crops or managing plant inventory. As the fall harvest arrives, your focus will shift to packaging and processing. Winter operations involve cleaning, packaging, warehousing, and shipping products to ensure our clients are prepared for the upcoming planting season.
Core Responsibilities:
- Take on a variety of duties across the seed production plant, including harvesting, intake, conditioning, treater operation, packaging, shipping, and general maintenance tasks assigned by leadership.
- Support harvesting operations through activities such as trucking, seed drying, and combining.
- Utilize PLC computer automation software to operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Help maintain accurate records by inputting data regarding testing outcomes and quality observations.
- Manage warehouse inventory and assist in the movement of seed products using forklift equipment.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by ensuring full compliance with all quality and safety protocols and reviewing operational procedures.
