Job summary

United Supermarkets, LLC is seeking a Production Associate to operate ovens, monitor cook cycles, load and unload racks, and maintain clean, safe work areas. You will read specs and recipes, set up equipment, and work with your team to meet daily production goals.

This role emphasizes food safety, HACCP documentation, and adherence to SOPs. You will train new team members, communicate with supervisors, and handle physical tasks including lifting up to 70 pounds and working in hot or cold

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read and follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Able to work in hot/cold environments and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies product specifications according to manufacturing orders and recipes.
  • Operates ovens and monitors cook cycles, including smoke generator maintenance.
  • Loads and unloads racks, pushes product into coolers, and ensures proper cool down.
  • Sets up, operates, and tears down equipment with minimal oversight.
  • Performs general packing, boxing, and product trimming tasks.
  • Operates pallet jacks and hand jacks efficiently.
  • Completes HACCP documentation and monitors product temperatures.
  • Follows food safety protocols and participates in safety meetings.
  • Reports food safety concerns and maintains cleanliness of work areas.
  • Inspects ovens and equipment to ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Delivers instruction to new team members using SOPs.
  • Communicates clearly with peers and supervisors.
  • Helps establish routines and training plans aligned with department goals.
  • Guides team members to meet production expectations.
