Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Worker to join our team in a processed meat manufacturing plant. This role involves operating equipment, handling meat products, packaging finished products, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards to ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality processed meats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machinery used in meat processing, grinding, mixing, or packaging.
- Prepare and handle raw and cooked meat products according to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Inspect meat products for quality, consistency, and proper labeling.
- Package and label finished products according to company specifications.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Perform routine manual labor such as lifting, stacking, and moving meat products and supplies.
- Assist with inventory checks and material handling as needed.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or meat processing environment is a plus.
- Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machinery operation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Working Conditions:- Cold and refrigerated environment (temperature-controlled).
- Exposure to raw meat and cleaning chemicals.
- Shift work may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
