Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is hiring for a shift-based manufacturing role in the United States. You will set up, operate, and maintain packaging machinery, monitor output, and troubleshoot issues to ensure quality and safety.

The position requires teamwork and adherence to safety protocols while supporting on-time delivery to customers. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong attention to detail, math and tape measure reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

Shift Details

Must be able to work any shift in a three-shift operation, as well as daily or weekend overtime as required.

• 1st Shift: 7AM - 3PM
• 2nd Shift: 3PM - 11PM
• 3rd Shift: 11 PM - 7 AM
• Employee will be assigned shift and job duties according to seniority-based bid on ANY shift.

Starting Wage Range

$17.76/hr with increases to $20.07/hr - $24.57/hr (includes differential) based upon job/shift assignment.

Primary Job Duties

In this role, you will play an integral part in the production process, ensuring that our machinery operates efficiently and produces high-quality products. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various packaging machines while adhering to stringent safety and quality standards. You will also monitor production output and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will contribute to the timely delivery of our products to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety practices and machine operation, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
