Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Production Worker to oversee the full lifecycle of used IBC totes—receiving, disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and rebottling to restore units for reuse in industrial applications.

The role requires operating machines and hand tools, strict adherence to safety protocols, and accurate documentation. Training and meetings are part of the regular schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and produce parts to tolerances.
• Read specs and stage supplies for next order.
• Install plugs, capseals, rings, and other parts.
• Use air guns and capseal tools safely with production flow.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow 6s/lean.
• Report concerns to Production Manager or SHEQ.
• Use company systems to report production, scrap, inventory.
• Follow direction and product quantities.

JOB DESCRIPTION Summary: The Production Worker is responsible for the complete lifecycle management of used intermediate bulk containers, including receiving, disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling (rebottling) units. The goal of this position is to restore used IBC totes to a safe, clean, and functional condition - complying with all regulations, for reuse in industrial applications. This position involves physical labor, operating industrial equipment, hand tools, and maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Safety

• Follow all Plant Safety Rules and Regulations
• Utilize proper PPE at all times

Quality

• Responsible to produce continuous quality parts and ensure all quality procedures are followed
• Compliance to ISO 9001
• Complete Manufacturing/Quality documents
• Communicate with internally concerning deviations or general request
• Assist in 6s and lean manufacturing practices

Environmental

• Verify compliance to local, state, and federal regulations
• Complete reports as necessary internally

PRIMARY PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently operate machines, equipment, and produce production parts to required tolerances
• Read and comprehend customer specification sheets; anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products as needed
• Installation of:
  • Plugs
  • Capseals
  • Rings
  • Other parts or materials as specified
• Utilize various hand tools, including but not limited to air guns, plug wrenches, and capseal tools in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining appropriate speed with production flow
• Demonstrate acceptable level of capabilities in all areas of the Plant during General Labor Rotation
• Report any conditions of concern regarding products, materials, or safety immediately to Production Manager, SHEQ, or Plant Manager
• Utilize the company systems for reporting production, scrap, inventory, etc.
• Follow direction and product required quantities

OTHER DUTIES

• Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition
• Attend all required meetings and trainings
• Perform all other duties as required or requested

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in industrial manufacturing

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, kneel/stoop, and walk for the duration of the shift
• Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination
• While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud environments, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions
• Vision: 20/20 corrected; and normal hearing range
• Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment - cold in the winter months and hot in the summer months
