Job summary

Job description

The Production Worker is responsible for completing specific tasks or producing items on a piece-rate basis. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards. The worker is compensated based on the quantity and quality of work produced.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Production: Perform tasks or produce items according to the specifications provided. Tasks may include assembly, sewing, packaging, harvesting, or other jobspecific duties.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets the company’s quality standards. Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary corrections.
  • Efficiency: Work at a consistent pace to maximize output without compromising quality. Track and report the number of pieces completed daily.
  • Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Report any malfunctions or required repairs to the supervisor.
  • Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • RecordKeeping: Accurately record the number of pieces produced and any issues encountered during production. Submit records to the supervisor as required.
  • Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing highquality work.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
