Job summary

Scoular Co. is seeking a Production Worker to support maintenance, operations, safety, and quality in a unionized facility. You will perform routine maintenance tasks, assist with inspections, and help ensure safe, efficient production. Weekend work is required and forklift duties may be involved.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate production equipment safely and efficiently.

Job description

The Production Worker plays a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of the processing and handling facility. This position involves executing tasks related to maintenance, operations, safety compliance, and quality assurance to support the facility's daily operations.

This position is a union position and successful candidate must join the union after 30 days of employment.


Candidate must be able to work the following shift

  • Shift A: 1:00 AM – 9:30 AM
  • Shift C: 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Maintenance and Operations

  • Execute tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of production equipment and machinery.
  • Participate in the execution of the preventative maintenance program, including inspections and observations of equipment, to ensure equipment functionality and safety.
  • Assist in regular maintenance activities to keep equipment in good repair.
  • Ensure the facility operates efficiently and safely by promptly addressing any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions.

Safety Compliance

  • Adhere to all Federal, State, and Local regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to location inspections to identify and address safety hazards.
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure the well-being of all employees.

Quality Assurance

  • Assist in maintaining food quality culture and facility cleanliness and sanitation according to established standards.
  • Follow documentation practices accurately to support quality assurance efforts.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in training sessions to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Operations Support

  • Support daily operations by efficiently managing tasks such as receiving and shipping products using forklift .
  • Collaborate with team members to establish guidelines for cleaning equipment and monitor performance to optimize efficiency.
  • Assist in minimizing operating expenses while maximizing productivity and efficiency in facility operations.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in training sessions to ensure adherence to quality standards.

You will be eligible for a pay increase after 6 months during your first year as you learn and master our operations. Continued growth with annual wage increases after your first year to keep your earnings moving upward.

Your wellbeing is important. For this role, your medical coverage is provided through the union health plan. Eligibility for benefits begins once you have completed 30 days of employment. Upon eligibility, a subsequent 80 hours of work must be completed. Benefit coverage will then begin on the first day of the following month (assuming the completion of 30 calendar days of employment PLUS subsequent 80 hours of work). In addition to comprehensive healthcare coverage, the pension fund is fully company‑paid, supporting your long‑term financial wellbeing.
