Job summary

New Flyer in the USA is seeking a skilled welder for second shift with potential day training. You will operate welding machines, follow CWB procedures, and work with fixtures to ensure quality.

Responsibilities include MIG welding, reading blueprints and process sheets, and interpreting weld symbols while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires 2–3 years of heavy manufacturing welding experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

2nd Shift Monday through Thursday 4:00pm to 2:30am

Must be able to train on days for up to 90 days

Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm

Requirements

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a member of the welding team, this position will be responsible to operate welding machines and work with a variety of weld fixtures while adhering to the CWB welding procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to weld using various material and techniques (specifically MIG).
• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and/or process sheets.
• Ability to interpret weld symbols.
• Complete tasks while ensuring performance targets and quality are met.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Two to three years' welding experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Have great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous experience with 5S and lean manufacturing would be considered an asset.
• Able to perform required duties with minimal supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of all types of welding procedures and practices.
