Job summary

DRT Aerospace, LLC is hiring a Production Utility Operator in Winsted, CT. The role supports machining, inspection, material handling, and production operations in a climate-controlled facility. Paid training is provided and there is the opportunity to advance within a growing aerospace manufacturer.

No prior aerospace experience is required; training will cover CNC loading, quality checks, and material handling, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts on CNC machines and support machining operations.
• Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for processing.

• Move materials and supplies throughout the facility and assist with shipping/receiving.

What You’ll Do

• Load and unload parts on CNC machines
• Support machining and production operations
• Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for processing
• Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks
• Assist with blue light 3D inspection equipment (training provided)
• Move materials, parts, and supplies throughout the facility
• Deliver tools and materials to production workstations
• Support shipping, receiving, packaging, and inventory activities
• Perform basic measurements using calipers and micrometers (training provided)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow safety, quality, and production procedures
• Support multiple departments as business needs require

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in hands-on work
• Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience
• Experience using hand tools
• Forklift experience or willingness to become certified
• Interest in machining, quality inspection, aerospace manufacturing, or skilled trades
