Job summary

Seal & Design, Inc. is seeking a Utility Operator to support production by operating machinery and following job cards. You will record time, material usage, and production data while ensuring safety and quality.

This role requires flexibility to train across multiple production areas, adapt to changing assignments, and meet productivity targets. A high school diploma and experience with ERP software are preferred to support diverse manufacturing needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 2 years of job-specific experience.
• Experience with ERP software in a business environment.
• Basic math and measurement proficiency.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to cross-train.

Responsibilities

• Operate various production machinery safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Remain flexible and adaptable to changing assignments, production demands, and department needs throughout the workday.
• Execute job tasks according to specifications outlined on the job card.
• Accurately record job start and completion times, material usage, and production data.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to verify compliance with job requirements and quality standards.
• Notify the Lead Operator or Quality Control of any quality concerns and pause production until the issue is resolved; elevate unresolved issues to the Plant Manager.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shift.
• Adhere to all safety, security, and operational procedures.
• Meet or exceed established productivity, efficiency, and quality targets.
• Actively participate in cross-training on all applicable machinery and production processes to build versatility and support operational coverage across departments

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Utility Operator supports production operations by operating various machinery and completing assigned jobs based on daily production needs. This role requires adaptability, versatility, and a willingness to train across multiple production areas to support staffing needs, production schedules, customer requirements, and quality expectations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shift: 2:15p - 12:45a Mon - Thurs

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $28.00/HR + $1.00 shift differential

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Six (6) months to two (2) years of job-specific experience
• Experience working in a computer-based environment with business or ERP software
• Basic math and measurement proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to cross-train across multiple machines, jobs, and production areas
