Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Brewton, Alabama, is currently seeking candidates for Production Utility opportunities. The role involves learning multiple operator functions across power and recovery, shipping, woodyard, pulp mill, or paper machine areas to cover absences and vacancies. Rotating 12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 7 off, with weekends and overtime as needed, 6:30–6:30.

Brewton; AL is currently seeking candidates who are interested in immediate
Production Utility opportunities. This role creates value by learning multiple operator functions in our power and recovery, shipping, woodyard, pulp mill or paper machine areas to cover for absences as well as to fill available vacancies as openings arise. GP employees who think critically, demonstrate initiative, work as a collaborative team member, and have a strong focus on safety will find opportunities for long-term growth and fulfillment. Work is performed in a sometimes hot, cold, humid, noisy, industrial environment, and around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances.

This position pays
$22.40 per hour.

Our Production Utility employees work rotating twelve hour shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. The rotation is 4 days, 7 off, 4 nights, 3 off, 3 days, 1 off, 3 nights, and 3 off (6:30 am to 6:30 pm days and 6:30 pm to 6:30 am nights)

What You Will Do

• Experience working in a Pulp/Paper Mill
• Two year or more experience of manufacturing or industrial experience
