Job summary

Tower Research Capital is seeking a talented and experienced Production Trader to join a Market Making team in a fully automatised, low latency environment in New York.

You will run and monitor trading systems, manage book sizes and risks, price ETFs, EFPs and BTICs, and work with IT and Quants to enhance strategies and systems. The role offers a discretionary bonus and growth opportunities in a global firm.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, CS or related STEM field.
• 3–7 years in the financial industry; quantitative trading preferred.
• Strong STEM background.
• Proficient in back-testing, simulation, and statistical techniques.
• Data-mining and analysis of large tick data.
• Familiarity with signal generation and statistical models.
• Strong Python programming.
• Working knowledge of Linux and SQL.
• Good communication and collaboration; able to multitask.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Production Trader to join a Market Making team focusing on futures, ETFs and stocks in a fully automatised, low latency environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the systems operate smoothly: run and monitor the trading systems
• Managing book sizes and various risks
• In charge of pricing of ETFs, EFPs, BTICs
• Proposing enhancements to the strategies/systems: working in conjunction with IT and Quants.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent STEM degree
• 3-7 years experience in the financial industry (experience in quantitative trading is preferred but not a requirement)
• A strong background in STEM
• Proficiency in back-testing, simulation, and statistical techniques (auto-regression, auto-correlation and Principal Component Analysis)
• Solid data-mining and analysis skills, including experience dealing with a large amount of data/tick data
• Familiarity with signal generation and statistical models
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Working knowledge of Linux and familiarity with SQL
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Anticipated New York annual base salary range $120,000-200,000, plus eligible for discretionary bonus
