Job summary

RTX is hiring for a Production Test Engineer II for its Huntsville, AL facility. This onsite role supports test processes across the product life cycle, troubleshoots failures, and seeks efficiency improvements.

You will work with test equipment, data packages, and risk analysis, while coordinating with production teams. The position requires US citizenship or security clearance eligibility, DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain ATF access.

What You Will Do:

As a Production Test Engineer(PTE) II you’re part of a manufacturing team that supportsthetest process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities.

As a PTE II you’ll validateandensurecomplianceof the prime hardwareto technical data package requirementsand supporting test equipment.You’ll also troubleshoot and problem solve around test failures, and you’llidentifyopportunities to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity in test processes.

Additional responsibilities may include:(use

• Troubleshooting and providing accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Assisting with creating and maintaining spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Working on projects to reduce test time and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure mode, and test yields.
• Contributing to test capacity analyses and test flows.
• Maintaining changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals and system software.
• Assisting in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Assisting with root cause and corrective action investigations and presenting findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Assisting with risk assessments and supporting the program’s risk register reviews.

This job is posted as 2nd Shift. Hours are typically 2:00PM – 11:00PM.

This job is posted as ONSITE and is located at Raytheon’s facility at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing production environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
