Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in grinding or precision machining.
  • Strong knowledge of grinding machines, abrasives, process control, and metrology.
  • Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, and industrialization.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and MS Office.
  • US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and standardize grinding processes for new and existing products.
  • Support industrialization of manufacturing processes from concept to serial production.

  • Train operators and production staff on grinding standards and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Production Technology Engineer (Grinding)

Job Overview

The Production Technology Engineer – Grinding is responsible for optimizing and supporting grinding processes in manufacturing to ensure high product quality, stable production performance, and continuous improvement. This role focuses on process development, troubleshooting, industrialization, and productivity enhancement within grinding operations.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and standardize grinding processes for new and existing products.
  • Support industrialization of manufacturing processes, from concept phase to serial production.
  • Analyze process data to improve quality, cycle time, cost, and machine utilization.
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues in grinding operations and implement corrective actions.
  • Define and improve process parameters, tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and Engineering teams.

Your Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Technology, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in grinding processes or precision machining
  • Strong knowledge of grinding machines, abrasives, process control, and metrology
  • Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, and industrialization
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and MS Office applications
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred:

  • Experience with CNC grinding machines and automated production systems
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma
  • Familiarity with quality methods such as 8D, root cause analysis, FMEA, and capability studies
  • Experience in high-volume or precision manufacturing environments
