Job summary

Oceaneering in Panama City, FL is seeking a manufacturing operator to perform machine set-up, operation and tear-down of equipment used to manufacture subsea umbilicals. You will support daily production flow and use stop work authority to address unsafe conditions.

This rotating shift role requires 8–12 hour shifts and a schedule that moves between day and night every three months. Candidates should have basic computer skills, basic math, and ability to read and write simple notes.

Job description

Perform machine set-up, operation and tear-down of equipment used to manufacture and assemble subsea umbilicals. Candidate must be able to work safely to ensure daily task meet Oceaneering’s expectations. Required to work through competency programs to gain competencies on multiple manufacturing lines. Provide support to daily production flow and be able to use stop work authority to evaluate unsafe conditions.

This position is located at the onsite Panama City, FL manufacturing location. No travel required. This is a rotating shift position. Shift pattern will change between Day/Night shift every 3 months. Shift wage premiums will apply.

REQUIRED

• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures that apply to a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) to access work area.
• Requires ability to work 8–12-hour shifts, with possibility to work more than 40 hours a week when needed.
• Possesses basic knowledge of computers.
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

DESIRED

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
