Role Overview

The Production Technician performs processing, equipment operation, and testing activities required to manufacture paste products safely, accurately, and according to established quality standards. This role operates production equipment, records required transactional data, and supports inventory and quality activities throughout the manufacturing process. The position contributes to efficient production operations through attention to detail, safe work practices, and participation in continuous improvement efforts.



Key Responsibilities


  • Operate equipment used in paste manufacturing, including scales, mixers, and three-roll mills, while following established production and safety procedures.

  • Perform required processing and testing activities to produce finished paste products according to quality, accuracy, and production standards.

  • Record production and transactional data accurately and completely using required business and inventory systems.

  • Support quality system activities, inventory counts, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

  • Maintain organized and clean work areas, follow applicable safety and PPE requirements, and communicate production or process issues promptly.



Required Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic math skills, including the ability to perform simple formulas and percentage calculations.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to use required business, communication, and inventory control applications.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a production environment.



Preferred Qualifications


  • Manufacturing environment experience.

  • College coursework with an emphasis in science.

  • Experience using SAP or another ERP system.
