Primo Brands in Taunton, MA is seeking a Production Technician - Material Handling to support manufacturing operations by operating forklifts and production equipment. The role includes loading raw materials, supporting production lines, and performing quality checks.

This position offers a starting wage of $25.52 per hour with increases after 90 and 180 days, a 5:00 am–1:30 pm schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package. Training is provided for forklift experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in clean manufacturing preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred; training available.
• English language proficiency required for customer communication.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment including fillers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, blow mold machines, wrappers and forklifts.
• Record maintenance, quality data, downtime and production output.
• Adhere to GMP and safety programs; participate in safe behavior observation programs.
• Communicate effectively when issues arise to meet company standards.
• Meet or exceed performance metrics for efficiency and production.
• Perform hourly quality checks and inspect raw materials.
• Collaborate with QA, Maintenance and other departments to maximize output.
• Attend shift, team and plant meetings; continuously improve line operation.

This position supports manufacturing operations by operating forklifts and production equipment in a fast-paced beverage facility. Responsibilities include moving and loading raw materials, supporting production lines, completing quality checks, recording production information, and assisting with equipment operation, changeovers, cleaning, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance. Forklift experience is preferred, and training is available.

Factory Location: Taunton, MA

Compensation : $25.52 / hour at time of hire with $.50 cent increases after 90 and 180 days upon successful review

Schedule: 5:00 am-1:30 pm; Monday - Friday

Ability to work flexible hours during initial training period

Responsibilities

• Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance according to company standards on production equipment consisting of fillers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, blow mold machines, wrappers, and forklifts
• Record the following: preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics
• Adhere to safe work practices, good manufacturing practices, and participate in safe behavior observation programs
• Communicate effectively when issues arise that prevent operating to company standards/procedures
• Meet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production, and downtime
• Perform mathematical calculations as needed
• Ensure quality product is sent to customers by completing hourly quality checks
• Inspect raw materials against quality standards before loading them
• Interact with team members from various departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.) to maximize output and efficiency
• Attend shift, team, and plant meetings during their scheduled times
• Measure and continuously improve the line operation as a team and with other technicians
• Crosstrain in other areas to support operations during downtimesMaintain your workstation in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and good manufacturing practices
• Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Prior experience in clean manufacturing preferred
• Ability to work the scheduled shift which includes start-up and handover meetings
• Exposure to high-speed production and/or basic maintenance is preferred
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
• Ability to work on your own and with a team
• Strong communication skills both face to face and over the radio
• Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus
• Forklift experience is preferred, but we are able to train new associates
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. and stand on your feet for extended periods of time throughout the day
• Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions, including inclement weather and changes in temperature
• Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service. Proficiency in English is essential for understanding customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members.
