Job summary

Prescott’s, Inc. in Monument, CO is seeking a Production Technician to maintain, calibrate, repair, and qualify optical and electrical components of surgical microscopes, and manage related inventory.

You will work in a team to diagnose mechanical, electronic and optical issues, refurbish components, and assist with receiving, packing, and trade-show prep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with microscopes is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, calibration, repair, and QA of optical and electrical components of surgical microscopes.
• Inventory management and reporting responsibilities.
• Repair and refurbishment of microscope components and full systems incl. hardware, software, video components.
• Cleaning, repairing, painting prep, painting, de-prepping, quality control prep.
• Receiving assistance for microscopes and components.
• Cataloging and organizing inbound microscope inventory.
• Packing up microscopes and components.
• Preparation of Tabletop/Wet Lab microscopes.
• Trade show preparation assistance.
• Coordinate with Service and Inventory for accessories inventory control.
• General production area organization and cleanliness.

This position will support Prescott's, Inc. onsite in Monument, CO.

As a Production Technician at Prescott's, you will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, repair, and quality assurance of optical and electrical components of the surgical microscopes as well as individual inventory management and reporting responsibilities. This position involves the repair and refurbishment of surgical microscope components and full systems including but not limited to hardware, software, video components, and all standardized repairs.

What You Will be Doing:

• Identification of surgical microscope systems and parts.
• Diagnosis of mechanical, electronic & optical issues with surgical microscopes, optical components and accessories.
• Repair of surgical microscope components.
• Refurbishment of surgical microscope components, including;
• Cleaning
• Repair
• Preparation for painting (Cleaning, masking)
• Painting
• De-prepping
• Preparation for quality control
• Assistance with the receiving of surgical microscopes, and components.
• Cataloging, and organizing of inbound surgical microscope inventory.
• Assistance with the packing up of surgical microscopes, and components.
• Preparation of Tabletop / Wet Lab microscopes.
• Assistance with Trade Show preparation.
• Working with the Service & Inventory departments in terms of inventory control of accessories.
• General assistance with production area organization and cleanliness.

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ years of work-related experience, preferred
• Experience with working with microscopes a plus
• The ideal candidate will be someone who can work in a team environment.
• Previous mechanical experience is a plus, but not essential.
• Must have good attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good vision is a necessity.

Preferred:

• Experience working with medical devices is a plus
• Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings is preferred
