Baxter in Marion, NC is seeking a Subassembly Production Technician I to help produce life-sustaining products. You will support machines, adjust controls, load materials, and assist operators to keep lines running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and teamwork; you will follow SOPs, GDP guidelines, and 6S cleanliness, with extensive on-the-job training and opportunities to advance within manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for eligibility.
• Production technician or manufacturing experience with maintenance and troubleshooting.
• CRC (Career Readiness Certification) at the Silver Level preferred.
• Basic English written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Operate, supervise and adjust subassembly machines via control panels or manual adjustments.
• Load and replenish production supplies to meet production needs.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and TPM support across multiple machines.
• Identify and correct inefficiencies in machine performance.
• Assist Subassembly Operator with quality checks and disposition of products.

What You'll Be Doing

The Subassembly Production Technician I is a Salary Non-Exempt position which supplies to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by helping support machines that produce subassembly components to be used in the manufacturing of flexible containers which hold IV therapies, premixed drugs, renal therapies, and other sterile solutions.

• Operate, supervise and make adjustments as vital to subassembly machines using controls on an electrical control panel (HMI) or by making manual adjustments to different processing stations.
• Load and replenish production supplies (i.e., membranes/cut tubes, sleeve stoppers, membrane tape, shrink band, enhanced closures) at a rate consistent with production needs.
• Perform minor routine and preventative maintenance such as alignment adjustments, replacement of machine parts, cleaning and lubrication of machine components while supporting Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on multiple machines at one time.
• Investigate, identify and correct/call out any inefficiency in machine performance.
• Assist Subassembly Operator in performing scheduled quality checks, disposition product, identifying any deviations that may occur and taking the appropriate action, including stopping production on the machine if vital.
• Assist Subassembly Operator in inspecting finished product to ensure that quality standards have been met. Aid in packaging finished components and staging them for transfer to downstream processes.
• Where applicable, perform testing, inspection, and packaging for Inter-Plant Shipping Orders (IPSO).
• Document required information on manufacturing logs and/or in POMS system per local and corporate Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Execution of machine changeovers when assigned.
• Perform and document scheduled cleaning activities.
• Advise the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, or mechanical discrepancies occur.
• Understand and apply meticulous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles including maintaining the work area and provided tools.

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years of age.
• Production Technician or manufacturing experience with duties including preventative maintenance, machine troubleshooting, etc.
• CRC (Career Readiness Certification) at the Silver Level preferred.
• Basic English written and ora
