Job summary
Elevated Metal Solutions (EMS) is seeking a Production Technician for our metal roofing and siding manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating trim and panels, operating basic equipment, and ensuring product quality to meet customer specs.

Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Basic math, measuring, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.
- Ability to learn and safely operate fabrication equipment and tools.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal roofing and siding trim and panels to customer specifications using basic machine operations.
- Conduct ongoing quality inspections of materials and finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently; operate a forklift as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE; maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with documenting production activities, tracking material usage, and updating job orders.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality and timely production.

Elevated Metal Solutions (EMS) is seeking a Production Technician to join our custom metal roofing and siding manufacturing team. If you enjoy hands‑on work, take pride in quality craftsmanship, and want to learn a valuable trade, we'd like to hear from you.
Experience is preferred but not required. We provide on‑the‑job training, clear performance expectations, and opportunities for growth. This position is not a welding or soldering role and primarily involves working with 24‑gauge sheet metal, a 10' shear and brake, and portable rollformers used to produce roofing panels both in the shop and on job sites.

- Fabricate metal roofing and siding trim and panels to customer specifications using basic machine operations. Training will be provided, with employees expected to work independently as proficiency is achieved.
- Conduct ongoing quality inspections of materials and finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently
- Operate a forklift as needed following company procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and assist in ensuring a safe work environment.
- Assist with documenting production activities, such as tracking material usage, recording production times, and updating job orders as required.
- Conduct ongoing quality inspections of materials and finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Basic math, measuring, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation
- Ability to learn and safely operate fabrication equipment and tools
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, roofing, sheet metal, warehousing, or a related industry
- Current forklift certification
- Experience operating power tools, machinery, or production equipment
- Experience using measuring tools and reading dimensions
- Experience working in a fast‑paced production environment
- Be dependable and maintain consistent attendance

This position is physically active and requires employees to:
- Regularly lift and carry up to 70 pounds
- Occasionally lift 100+ pounds with assistance or mechanical equipment
- Stand and move for extended periods
- Walk, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
- Work in noisy environments where hearing protection is required and provided
- Climb ladders, maintain balance, and safely operate equipment
- Meet the vision requirements necessary to safely perform job duties
