Company Description: ACS Manufacturing is a state‑of‑the‑art design‑build manufacturer of acoustical equipment enclosures, fuel tanks, turbine systems and skids. It has nearly 300,000 square feet on 36 acres in Denison, Texas and has expanded to a 150,000 square foot facility in Abbeville, SC.

Job Summary

The Production Technician will be responsible for installation, preparation, and cleaning enclosures.

Job Responsibilities / Duties

• Must be able to work on scissor lifts, ladders, and other elevated work conditions.
• Ability to work with multiple projects.
• Must be able to work with various types of insulation.
• Determine how much insulation is required for projects and maintain adequate stock.
• Utilize tape measure to cut insulation and other components.
• Perform spray foam installation and trimming of foam.
• Install ACs.
• Help loading trucks.
• Wrap building in shrink wrap.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Install arch chutes.
• Operate pressure washer.
• Prepare metal surfaces for painting by using power tool cleaning.
• Drill, cut and assemble metal components.
• Install motorized dampers, gravity dampers, and flashing.
• Attach angle trim, bird screen, etc. in and on units.
• Build, square up and insulate baffles; determine number required per unit.
• Determine what types of fasteners are required for different applications.
• Ensure consumable products are fully used before disposing to reduce waste.
• Prepare equipment and units for shipping by cleaning and applying heat‑shrink wrap.
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate good listening skills.
• General cleaning in the area.
• Obey safety standards of ACS and follow local, state, and federal regulations.
• Perform duties in a moral and ethical manner.
• Responsible for any other tasks that may arise.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending to meet fast‑paced work demands.
• Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.
• Follow safety standards when working with multiple services, tools, and equipment.

Minimum Requirements / Experience

• Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in a shop/production environment.
• Must be able to read tape measure, use tools such as grinders, drills and screw guns.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment.
