PTA Plastics in New York, NY seeks a Production Technician Associate to support daily operations under the Production Supervisor. The role includes operating heavy machinery, monitoring equipment performance, and adjusting setups to keep production on schedule.

The position requires handling production data, reporting inconsistencies, and adhering to safety procedures. Training hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm initially, with an eventual shift from 12:00 to 8:30pm.

• Ability to follow a production report while working independently.

Position Summary

The Production Technician Associate will report directly to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for performing a variety of production tasks to assist with operations in production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor’s equipment performance and adjusts setups, calibrations, and alignments
• Operate heavy machinery, including loaders, backhoes, and forklifts
• Tracks various data associated with production equipment
• Reports any inconsistencies and uses standard repair procedures
• Work in compliance with company safety and operating procedures
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a production/manufacturing setting
• Capable of working in a team and independently
• Capable of following a production report while working independently

Note: Regular scheduled shift time will be 12:00 - 8:30pm however during initial training period, training hours will be from 7:00am to 3:30pm
