Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Jeffersonville, Indiana is seeking a Production Technician Associate to assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies and perform quality inspections. The role offers a day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work or military experience
• 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Availability to travel more than 75% of the time
• Proven ability to collaborate with and support other team members
• Ability to be engaged and productive while remaining flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Identify and perform repetitive assembly of various trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions
• Safely utilize various measuring and inspection instruments
• Use various power and hand tools in a safe manner
• Work with a variety of materials, including steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils and abrasives
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards
• Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within department
