Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency with technical certification.
• Equivalent military or related technical training, or at least 45 college credit hours may substitute for certification.
• Technical certification may include completion of the AIB 'Science of Baking' course.

Responsibilities

• Follow production schedule and report times.
• Operate metal detectors after training.
• Perform start-up/shut-down sanitation and limited preventative maintenance.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and safety compliance.
• Maintain production schedules, running orders, and formulas.
• Scale ingredients and load into containers.
• Conduct quality control inspections to meet standards.
• Support team and perform other duties as directed by supervision.

Position Overview

Bringing Home the Dough. The production technician contributes to all phases of the team-oriented production process, including operating automated equipment, diagnosing equipment failures, assisting with preventative maintenance and sanitizing equipment. Technicians must master the entire production process, adapt to rotating job assignments, monitor equipment and product quality, and make real-time decisions that affect order fulfillment and product quality. The role also requires the use of Enterprise software for data input, retrieval, and reporting, and compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities

• Checks and adheres to production work schedule for job assignments and reporting times.
• Operates facility metal detector(s) after full training and certification.
• Performs start-up/shut-down sanitation and limited preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Ensures work areas are clean, organized, and comply with safety rules.
• Maintains production schedules, running orders, and formulas.
• Scales and stages ingredients according to standards.
• Loads product into proper containers.
• Performs quality control inspections and monitors for acceptable government and company standards.
• Provides scheduled breaks for production technicians on the assigned shift.
• Acts as a member of a high-functioning team.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of related experience.

Essential Job Requirements
