Production Technician (2nd Shift 3:00 PM–1:00 AM Monday‑Thursday)

This non‑supervisory position located in Delavan, Wisconsin covers machine‑specific functions such as configuring equipment, loading and operating the machines, and optimizing machine capability. Technicians ensure machines run at full capacity, perform light maintenance, and conduct quality checks to support CPC profitability and achieve organizational KPIs and strategic objectives under the guidance of the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, clean, and complete preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
• Operate single or multiple production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Check machine output and identify any issues.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications.
• Inspect parts to specifications and make adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and production orders to perform required tasks.

Successful Candidates Will Possess The Following

• Education, training, and experience equivalent to a high‑school diploma/GED with at least 6 months of machine operating experience (preferably in extrusion) in an industrial setting. Coursework should include mechanical systems. Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of machining principles, methods, and applicable safety and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome‑oriented objectives; working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN Enterprise) with a holistic viewpoint.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, set priorities, and manage time effectively while maintaining an awareness of other business dependencies and working independently to meet job orders and deadlines.

Salary: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour.
