Job summary

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment running machining equipment.
  • Press operation: Set up and run stamping presses.
  • Strip reading: Read progression strips.
  • Work instructions: Follow SOPs and training docs, create new processes.
  • Precision tools: Use micrometers, pin gauges, calipers, dial indicators.
  • Maintenance: Troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Blueprints: Read blueprints.
  • Math skills: Basic shop math including fractions, decimals, etc.
  • GD&T: Basic understanding of GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment including stamping presses and finishing machines.
  • Input data into the job tracking software system.
  • Load parts into fixtures for laser/robotic operations and presses.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and investigate issues during runs.
  • Maintain Kanban, iSupply, and production plans.

Production TechnicianPosition Summary:

The Production Technician is responsible for setting up and operating manual and automatic punch presses, as well as other equipment used in the manufacture of precision stamped components. This role completes inspections of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished parts for conformance to quality standards and customer expectations, and makes adjustments to the stamping process to ensure quality requirements are maintained. The ideal candidate is able to work in a team environment and interact with a multitude of organizations during manufacturing operations.

Shift Available:

2nd Shift: 2:00 pm-12:30 am Monday-Thursday

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
  • Operateproduction equipment, including progressive and single-stage stamping presses, as well as other equipment used in the manufacture of precision stamped components (such as metal finishing machines and secondary operations machinery).
  • Inputdata into the job tracking software system.
  • Ensurethe correct program is loaded into production equipment.
  • Accurately loadparts into fixtures for laser and robotic operations and/or single-stage press equipment.
  • Troubleshootmachinery and investigate machine issues during production runs.
  • MaintainKanban, iSupply, and production plan levels.
  • Performvisual and measurement inspections and accurately document the results.Interpretblueprints, follow control plans, and complete IPIs (In-Process Inspections) and PPIs (Pre-Production Inspections).
  • Followmanufacturing and quality procedures and comply with all documented requirements.
  • Maintaininventory levels and production plans/rates.
  • Assistin the packaging of products.
  • Performsecondary operations, including cleaning, deburring, passivation, and broaching.
  • Enterproduction information and log time-per-part into the ERP system on a timely basis.
  • Workas an active team member on the production floor, assisting others as needed.
  • MentorProduction Machine Operators.
  • Adhereto all safety policies, including wearing ear and eye protection where required.
  • Performdaily safety checks prior to running machinery.
  • Performpreventative maintenance on presses under the direction of the maintenance technician.
  • Trainproduction personnel following all appropriate training procedures.
  • Operatemultiple presses simultaneously when appropriate.
  • Partnerwith New Tool Build during the qualification of new tools, run tools in development, and provide feedback for the creation and revision of production and quality instructions.
  • Routinely runmultiple customer parts across a variety of press tonnages.
  • Support and complywith the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
  • Read, understand, and followwork instructions and standard work.
  • Partnerwith other business segments, including Sales/Marketing, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, and Finance.
  • Understandcustomer needs and the core business markets we serve.
  • Ensurebusiness systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly.
  • Participatein required company meetings.
  • Maintainan organized work area following 5S expectations.
  • Participatein the Operational Excellence Program.
  • Completeall other work duties as assigned.
  • Workeffectively and safely in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience

(Including KSAs and Certifications)

  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment running machining equipment.
  • Press Operation:Ability to set up and run stamping presses.
  • Strip Reading:Ability to read a progression strip.
  • Work Instructions:Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions, SOPs, and training documents, including the ability to create and document new processes.
  • Precision Tools:Ability to use hand tools such as micrometers, pin gauges, calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Maintenance:Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Blueprints:Ability to read blueprints.
  • Math Skills:Excellent shop math skills, including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • GD&T:Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Pay Range

USD $21.20 - USD $33.89 /Hr.

Pay Range Details

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.

This position is eligible for shift differential.
