Join SHD Composites in Tulsa and build advanced composite materials used in demanding, high-performance industries. We are looking for dependable, hands‑on people who take pride in producing quality work, learning new equipment, and being part of a manufacturing team where attention to detail matters.

Composite experience is a plus, but it is not required. If you have experience in manufacturing, machine operation, production, warehouse, automotive, aerospace, plastics, chemicals, textiles, coating, or another hands‑on industrial environment, we want to hear from you.

We provide structured, hands‑on training to help you learn our processes and equipment.

Pay & Shifts

Base Pay: $19.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience

First Shift
Monday–Friday
6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Second Shift
Monday–Friday
1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
Additional $2.00/hour shift premium

With the second‑shift premium, qualified employees can earn up to $27.00/hour for qualifying second‑shift hours.

Employees selected for second shift may initially train on first shift before moving to their regular second‑shift schedule.

What You'll Do

As a Production Technician, you'll work directly with our manufacturing team to produce advanced composite materials while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and consistency.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operate and support manufacturing equipment and production processes.
  • Set up, start, clean, change over, and shut down assigned equipment.
  • Prepare, measure, identify, and handle raw materials.
  • Follow work orders, production instructions, formulas, specifications, and schedules.
  • Monitor equipment and process conditions to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Perform measurements, inspections, sampling, and in-process quality checks.
  • Accurately complete production records and required system transactions.
  • Package, label, move, and stage raw materials and finished products.
  • Identify and report equipment, material, quality, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
  • Support material movement, inventory, shipping/receiving, and other production activities when needed.
  • Cross‑train on multiple processes and equipment as you develop.
  • Communicate production status and issues during shift handoffs.

What We're Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have previous manufacturing, machine‑operation, production, warehouse, mechanical, or industrial experience.
  • Are comfortable working with your hands and learning manufacturing equipment.
  • Can follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Have basic math, measurement, computer, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Pay attention to details and take pride in producing quality work.
  • Understand the importance of workplace safety.
  • Are dependable and punctual.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Are willing to learn new processes and cross‑train.
  • Can complete initial first‑shift training if selected for second shift.

Experience That Will Help You Stand Out

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in:

  • Aerospace or composite manufacturing
  • Prepreg or unidirectional materials
  • Machine operation
  • Resin systems, fiber handling, laminating, coating, slitting, or roll‑to‑roll equipment
  • Plastics, chemicals, textiles, converting, or other process manufacturing
  • Quality inspections and measurements
  • Controlled manufacturing documentation
  • ERP/MRP systems or electronic work orders
  • AS9100 or ISO manufacturing environments
  • Forklift or material handling

Don't have composite experience? Don't automatically count yourself out. Strong manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the willingness to learn are important to us.

Physical & Work Environment

This is an active manufacturing position. Employees must be able to stand and walk for most of the shift; bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks; and lift or move up to 50 pounds. Assistance or material‑handling equipment is available for heavier items.

The manufacturing environment includes production machinery, chemicals, noise, and temperature variations. Required PPE must be worn at all times.

Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Build Your Manufacturing Career With SHD Composites

We're looking for people who want to learn, contribute, and grow with the operation—not simply punch a clock.

If you're dependable, safety‑minded, comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment, and interested in learning advanced composite production, apply today.

We'd like to hear from experienced manufacturing professionals as well as candidates with transferable industrial skills who are ready for their next opportunity.
