Job Title: Production Technician

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 9:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Principal Accountability

Reporting to the Manager and Assistant Manager of Production/Labeling, the Production Technician is responsible for the separation of whole blood into blood and blood components, including the proper operation of equipment and labeling of blood components for long-term storage or shipment. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all applicable standards, procedures, regulations, departmental goals, and objectives, complying with standards set by regulatory bodies such as FDA, AABB, EU, and OSHA.

Regular full-time attendance during scheduled hours is required.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Graduate or GED

Experience

• Production or manufacturing experience preferred

Skills and Knowledge

• Complete training for essential functions within 90 days, appropriate for the assigned shift
• Organized with ability to document details accurately, both electronically and manually
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with or without supervision
• Ability to meet strict time expectations, restraints, and deadlines
• Effective use of equipment, skillfully and efficiently
• Good verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to focus on repetitive tasks
