Job summary

Position Overview

As a Production Technician,you’rea member of a production crew, reporting toa supervisor of an assigned production area.You Will contribute to the success of Ball byobservingoperating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.


• Operate,adjust,and repair high-speed production equipment to meet plant production goals.


• Assistwith performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.


• Inspectaluminiumfor proper quality standards and customer specifications.


• Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.

Required Experience and Skills

• High School Diploma orequivalent education.


• 1-year minimum experience in a mechanical job-related field withdemonstratedmechanical troubleshooting skills.


• Proficiencyin the use of hand and power tools.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• 2years’work experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Physical Environment and Working Conditions

• May be subject toall ofthe following, but not limited to:


• Hot/Cold working conditions.


• Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.


• Climbing (stairs, and other equipment as necessary).

• Onsite Work Environment:This position is based in Rome, GA and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
