Job summary

Quantum Systems Inc. in Moorpark, CA, is seeking a Production Technician to assemble and test UAS products in our manufacturing facility, following engineering drawings and work orders in our Oracle NetSuite system.

The role requires 2–3 years in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly, hand and power tools, soldering, reading blueprints, and strong communication with teammates. You must be able to commute to the Moorpark office five days a week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of manufacturing or production experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools, plus basic test equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to solder as part of assembly functions.
• Must have basic computer operation skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Background check required; US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
• Ability to commute to the Moorpark office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Correct and improve documents related to the assembly process at high quality standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Ensure work order protocols are followed and paperwork is completed as work is performed.
• Work with other technicians to build a product or follow an established assembly process.
• Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure items meet established quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Our business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. We currently have an opening for a Production Technician. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.

The primary responsibility of the Production Technician will be to assemble and test Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) products in our manufacturing facility following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions and using our Oracle NetSuite-based work order system.

Responsibilities:

• Final assembly of air vehicles and related equipment
• Mechanical and electrical assembly of subassemblies using small hand and/or power tools. Some soldering may be required
• Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies
• Correct and improve upon any documents related to the assembly process at the required high-quality standard
• Work with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, improve product quality, reduce manufacturing costs and validate released assembly/ fabrication documentation
• Responsible for ensuring that work order protocols are followed, and that work order paperwork is completed as the work is performed
• Work with other technicians to build a product or follow an established assembly process
• Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure that items built are to established quality standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in either electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools as well as basic test equipment is required
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is desired
• Ability to solder as part of assembly function and duties
• Must have basic computer operation skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees in the Company
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail with ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form
• Background check required/US Citizenship required due to government contracts
• Ability to commute to the Moorpark office 5 days a week
