Job summary

Aqua Membranes in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Production Technician to operate and maintain membrane element production lines. The role includes printing, cutting, rolling, assembling, wrapping, and testing leaves to meet specifications.

You will work Monday–Friday on 1st shift with competitive hourly wages and benefits. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required; candidates should be self-motivated team players with good communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Program printing system for various patterns.
• Operate and maintain polymer printing processes.
• Measure and cut membrane leaves from rolls per production orders.
• Load/unload materials into the printing system.
• Conduct visual quality inspection of printing process.
• Collaborate with Aqua Membrane engineers to improve the product.
• Assemble and roll spiral wound RO elements using printed leaves.
• Operate rolling, gluing, and cut-off tools for finished elements.
• Use fiberglass wrapping system for element structure.
• Test products to ensure they meet internal specs.
• Carry out daily operations across all unit processes or a subset.
• Position requires standing and moving most of the day.

Position Type: Hourly, Full-Time, 1st Shift, Monday-Friday

JOB PURPOSE

To manufacture new generation reverse osmosis membrane elements. This will include many unit operations including 3D printer operation, element rolling and trimming, fiberglass wrapping and final testing.

PRINCIPAL WORK ACTIVITIES

• Program printing system for various patterns
• Operating and maintaining polymer printing process
• Measure and cut membrane leaves from rolls based on production order
• Load and unload materials into printing system
• Visual quality inspection of printing process
• Work directly with Aqua Membrane engineers to improve the final product
• Assemble and roll spiral wound reverse osmosis elements using printed leaves
• Operate both automated and manual rolling and gluing processes
• Operate manual and automated cut-off tools to finish elements after rolling
• Operate semi-automated fiberglass wrapping system for element structure
• Test each product to ensure performance meets internal specifications
• Daily activities could include all unit operations or only one
• Position requires standing and moving most of the day

TARGET COMPENSATION

$20-22 per hour DOE with benefits
