Job summary

Catalent is seeking a Production Technician - Mogul for its Greendale, IN site. You will produce packaged candies per SOPs and quality standards, following guidance from the Production Manager. This 100% onsite role requires attention to safety, quality, and teamwork to meet daily packaging schedules.

Shift is Mon-Thurs 4pm-2:30am. The position emphasizes adherence to GMP, SOPs, HACCP, and FQP while maintaining a clean, well-organized production area.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, quality-focused execution of assigned tasks.
  • Assist in basic equipment care, including cleaning and inspection.
  • Support safe and efficient changeover of packaging lines.
  • Ensure packaging materials and supplies are available according to production schedule.
  • Report equipment malfunctions with details of actions taken.
  • Maintain cleanliness of area, equipment, and supplies.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
  • Comply with GMP, SOP, HACCP, and FQP.
  • Produce high-quality product at every production step.
  • Participate in required training and perform duties as assigned.

About Site

Catalent’s Greendale, Indiana site is a key part of the company’s Wellness business, serving as one of North America’s primary gummy development and manufacturing centers. The site specializes in the formulation and production of traditional gelatin gummies and 100% plant‑based pectin gummies for nutritional supplements and nutraceutical applications, supporting a wide range of consumer health products. With strong in‑house R&D, quality laboratories, and flexible manufacturing and packaging capabilities, the Greendale operation partners closely with customers to develop innovative, high‑quality, and consumer‑friendly gummy delivery formats across a variety of flavors, shapes, and functional ingredients, all produced under rigorous quality and food‑safety standards.

Position Summary We have an opportunity for a Production Technician - Mogul to join our team. In this role, you will produce packaged candies according to Standard Operating Procedures and quality standards. You will follow specific instructions from the Production Manager and work under general supervision to meet daily packaging schedules. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality practices, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Shift: Mon-Thurs 4pm-2:30am Location: Greendale, IN 100% Onsite

The Role
  • Ensure safe, quality-focused execution of assigned tasks
  • Assist in basic equipment care, including thorough cleaning and inspection
  • Support safe and efficient changeover of packaging lines
  • Ensure all necessary packaging materials and supplies are available as required by the production schedule
  • Report equipment malfunctions or off-spec production promptly, including details and actions taken
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of area, equipment, and supplies
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment appropriately
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety Plan (HACCP), and Food Quality Plan (FQP)
  • Take responsibility for producing high-quality product at every step of production
  • Participate in all required training to perform job responsibilities effectively
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Candidate Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Ability to follow instructions, guidelines, and use experience and judgment to accomplish goals
  • Capable of performing a variety of tasks autonomously and with proficiency
  • Ability to work under general supervision
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel; frequently walk, reach, taste, or smell; occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, or balance
  • Ability to focus on moving, very close, and very far images and distinguish subtle color differences clearly
