Job summary

Golden Aluminum in Fort Lupton, Colorado is seeking Production Technicians to operate heavy foundry equipment and ensure continuous product flow while upholding strict quality standards.

You will work with presses, mills, casters, ovens, and related machinery, following safety protocols and adjusting calibrations as needed on a 12-hour 2x2x3 shift schedule, with a 3-day weekend every other week.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Pass pre-employment drug test as required by federal law.
• Work any shift (2x2x3 schedule), 12-hour shifts, alternating days/nights every 6 weeks.
• Basic math skills and computer familiarity.
• Able to identify defects and suggest corrections.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy foundry equipment and ensure continuous product flow.
• Visually inspect products to meet quality standards.
• Monitor and adjust machine calibrations as needed.
• Set up and tear down machines safely.
• Maintain required quality control levels as per Golden Aluminum.
• Read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Production Technicians are responsible for the daily operation of heavy, moderately complex foundry equipment in a manufacturing environment. Production Technicians work on a variety of equipment including: presses, mills, casters, shredders, ovens, annealers, and/or slitters. Production Technician duties include:

Production Technicians work on a variety of equipment including: presses, mills, casters, shredders, ovens, annealers, and/or slitters. Production Technician duties include:

• Responsible for ensuring that product is continuously flowing while visually inspecting to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.
• Operating forklifts
• Monitoring machine calibrations and adjusting as required
• Set up and tear down machines safely
• Maintain Quality control levels as set by Golden Aluminum.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and procedures.

Requirements

Production Technicians need to:

• Demonstrate the ability to work safely in manufacturing environment
• Pass pre-employment drug test based on federal law (includes marijuana).
• Work any shift (2x2x3 schedule), 12 hours per shifts, alternating day/nights every 6 weeks.
• Have basic Microsoft computer skills and possess basic/fundamental math skills.
• Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Have strong attention to detail identifying defects and suggesting corrections.
• Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
