Job summary

SKF Group is seeking a production/plant operator in Illinois. The role involves operating process equipment safely and maintaining a clean, organized workplace. You will support team goals and follow training protocols on first shift (6am–2pm).

The position requires a high school diploma and at least two years in manufacturing, with experience in equipment operations and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. English reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience with equipment operations such as molding rubber components, spraying adhesives and grit blasting metals.
  • Good English reading and comprehension skills.
  • Candidate must be able to move and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate process equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Keep the plant, workstations, equipment and walkways organized and clean.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and teamwork.
  • Show initiative while following directions during training (first shift 6am–2pm).

Job Function

Operation of process equipment and others as assigned in a safe and efficient manner. Assist others to provide and organized and clean workplace including: all areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms. Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as a team. Ability to self-start yet take orders as directed. Other duties assigned.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience and/or background in equipment operations such as molding rubber components, spraying adhesives and grit blasting metals.
  • Good English reading and comprehension skills.
  • Candidate must have a strong desire to be a part of a high growth company with a results-oriented culture.
  • Ability to move and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • New hire would start on first shift (6am – 2pm) for purposes of training.
  • This position is compliant to US government ITAR requirements.
