Job summary

SKF in Elgin, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to operate process equipment safely and efficiently. Must have a HS diploma and 2 years in a manufacturing setting, with ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work a first shift for training.

Candidates should have good English reading skills, be team players, and ready to join a high-growth environment focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Experience with molding rubber components, spraying adhesives, and grit blasting metals.
• Good English reading and comprehension skills.
• Must be available to work split shift.
• Candidate must lift up to 40 pounds.
• New hire starts on first shift (6am–2pm) for training.
• This position complies with US government ITAR requirements.

Job Function:

Operation of process equipment and others as assigned in a safe and efficient manner. Assist others to provide and organized and clean workplace including: all areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms. Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as a team. Ability to self-start yet take orders as directed. Other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Experience and/or background in equipment operations such as molding rubber components, spraying adhesives and grit blasting metals.
• Good English reading and comprehension skills.
• Must be available to work split shift.

• Ability to move and lift up to 40 pounds.
