Job summary

Moog in Orlando, FL is seeking a Production Technician for the 1st shift, onsite role, reporting to the Production Manager. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, with English proficiency and comfort with basic math and measurement tools.

Preferred candidates may have electronics or manufacturing coursework, soldering experience, and the ability to read electrical schematics. A safe, clean, ESD-conscious workspace will be provided along with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to understand and follow verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• Basic familiarity with hand and measuring tools.
• Certificate coursework in electronics or manufacturing technology is preferred.
• Basic soldering experience or IPC training is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic assembly tasks using hand tools, torque wrenches, and simple fixtures under supervision.
• Read and follow written work instructions and simple blueprints.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections and document results per process requirements.
• Execute basic functional tests on bench equipment and report discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and ESD-compliant work area.
• Record production data and assist with inventory counts.
• Contribute improvement ideas and participate in continuous-improvement activities.
• Communicate part status and nonconformance to team leads and quality personnel.

Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Production Technician to join them. You will report to the Production Manager and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in Orlando, FL. To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Basic familiarity with hand and measuring tools (calipers, rulers, torque wrenches).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certificate of coursework in electronics, manufacturing technology, or related field
• Basic soldering experience or IPC training
• Prior experience in a lab, shop or maker-space environment
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics

Salary Range Transparency:

Orlando, FL $17.00-$29.00 Hourly Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
