Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Production Team Partner to lead shipping and mending tasks on the day shift. You will supervise daily operations, train staff, and ensure accurate shipments while maintaining records and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Two-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• 2-4 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows Operating systems Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with management.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using American standard units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and quality in the shipping and mending areas of the plant.
• Train and coach team partners on assigned job duties and responsibilities.
• Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including managing the lot system.
• Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments.
• Maintain reports, records, and documentation to reflect department activities.
• Ensure all finished garments are sorted and staged for each route daily.

As a Shipping &Mending Leader, you will be tasked with the daily supervision of the shippingand mending areas of the plant consistent with the directives of the plant’sproduction leadership, company policies, and location’s goals. At UniFirst wehave a 5-day work week, enjoy Saturday and Sunday off!! We have an immediateopening and provide on the job training.

What you'll be doing:

• Oversee daily operations and quality in the shippingand mending areas of the plant

• O versee the inspection, repair, and replacement of garments asnecessary
• Manageall aspects of the In-plant CAN (Change as Needed) process
• Ensurethat all mended products conform to the required comfort, appearance, anddurability standards
• Overseeall mending work orders to ensure that all are completed in accordancewith the shipping schedule
• Observeteam partners to ensure compliance within company, federal, and statesafety and occupational regulations
• Followall safety policies, HACCP and medical guidelines.
• Performother duties as described by area supervisor or management
